Stag & Lantern (1 / 251)

Micropub a few minutes walk from Highams Park station. They offer 3 cask ales served on gravity and 3 more on tap as well as a well stocked fridge. This is definitely on the micro end of micropubs with a cosy communal feel. Additional seating is provided outside. Food offering is limited to bar snacks.

Five Points – Citrus Pale – 4.2% (Cask) – £2.50 1/2 pint

Clapton Craft (Wood St Depot) (2 / 252)

Large branch of the Clapton Craft family situated close to the station. 8 taps offer a great range of beers, and if that isn’t enough they have 8 double fridges rammed with packaged beers. Lots of seating in this spacious venue with overspill on the pavement if needed. This is another bar that offers Yard Sale Pizza menus that you can order to be eaten in with the in-house kitchen due to re-open in September.

UnBarred – Golden Ale – 4.6% (Draft) – £2.00 1/3 pint

The Collab (3 / 253)

https://www.beerguideldn.com/pubs.php?IDKEY=387Beer and burger restaurant in the heart of Walthamstow with the beers coming from Signature Brew. 8 of them are available on tap. Although there is much more of a restaurant vibe here there has never been any problem just heading in for a beer. Note that there was a hefty mark up for going with a half pint.

Signature – Summer In The City – 4.8% (Draft) – £4.72 1/2 pint

Neckstamper Tap Room (4 / 254)

Typical industrial estate brewery and tap room setup with tables dotted around the brewery and in the road outside. Expect to find up to 5 of their own beers on tap. Yard Sale Pizza can be ordered in should you need food. A little trickier to get to, but well worth the effort.

Neckstamper – Little Mizzle – 4.5% (Draft) – £2.50 1/2 pint

Untraditional Pub (5 / 255)

Adjacent to St James Street station is this food court housed in a collection of shipping containers. On the first floor you will find this bar owned by Pillars brewery and offering a range of their beers across the 8 taps, plus a couple of guests. Seating is in the outdoor food court area and there are plenty of food stalls available should you require sustenance.

Pillars – Lite – 2.8% (Draft) – £2.95 1/2 pint

True Craft (Walthamstow) (6 / 256)

Large corner bar opposite the station and the second branch of True Craft. Same formula, ten taps of great beer and an in-house pizza kitchen producing amazing smelling pizzas. Very popular with families at the time of my visit. Why change a winning formula?!

Pretty Decent – Mega Sesh – 3.8% (Draft) – £3.05 1/2 pint

Pillars Brewery Tap (7 / 257)

Typical industrial estate brewery taproom with tables surrounded by the brewing kit. 8 beers on tap, mostly their own but they do have guests, plus a well stocked fridge. As with most industrial estates there is additional seating in the yard outside. Street food trucks in the yard provide the food.

Pillars – Original Pale – 4.5% (Draft) – £3.40 1/2 pint

The Real Al Tap (TRAP) (8 / 258)

Better known for it’s cider, of which it offers many, it also has 4 taps of quality beers. A typical industrial unit layout with plenty of seating inside and out. Food is available from the food sellers around the yard.

Pretty Decent – Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset – 3.4% (Draft) – £3.25 1/2 pint

Wild Card Barrel Store (Ravenswood) (9 / 259)

Original home of Wild Card brewery, now home to a tap room and their barrel store. The dozen taps offer their own beers plus ciders. There is an on-site pizza kitchen too, as well as the food vendors outside. Plenty of space inside and out.

Wild Card – Cuvée Saison – 6.5% (Draft) – £3.50 1/3 pint

Blondies Brewery Taproom (10 / 260)

Brewing has now commenced on site with two of their beers available in the tap room. 10 beers on tap in total, expect the ratio to change as they brew more. Extensive space with the smaller tap room area to the front and additional seating available in the brewhouse. There is a pizza van in the yard adjacent.

Blondies – Lager – 4.5% (Draft) – £3.00 1/2 pint

Little Green Dragon (11 / 261)

It’s a bit of a journey north to get to this community micropub but it is more than worth the effort. Friendly, welcoming and usually very busy. They offer 4 gravity cask ales and a further 4 on keg. A single room with plenty of seating, plus more out front. No food is offered beyond bar snacks.

Jiddler’s Tipple – Jacob’s Kriek Cherry Sour – 4.5% (Draft) – £3.00 1/2 pint
