Palm (1 / 279)
Corner pub in residential Tottenham that offers a warm welcome and an above average range of beers across its 12 taps and two handpumps, although the cask is more of a seasonal offering and may not always be available. There is plenty of seating and the food offering looks really good. The welcome is very friendly and it is worth seeking out this locals pub.

The Tavern On The Hill
Closed for a private event.
Wild Card Lockwood (2 / 280)
Now home to the brewery in a much larger unit than previously. Typical industrial estate tap room set up with a bar in the brewery area and seating inside and out. Ten taps offer their beers and they have a fridge of packaged beers. Yard Sale Pizza menus are available if you want to order pizza in.
Wild Card – FOMO Pale – 3.4% (Draft) – £3.20 1/2 pint
High Hill Taproom (Hackney Brewery Tap) (3 / 281)
Over the road from Wild Card is Hackney Brewery. Another brewery in an industrial unit but they have created an enclosed taproom area separated from the actual brewery space. It offers 20 taps split between their own beers and guests as well as a fridge of packaged beers. There is plenty of additional seating in the yard area which is also home to a street food kitchen.
Hackney – Millions Of Berries – 4.0% (Draft) – £2.00 1/3 pint
Hackney – Mysterious Spectre – 5.0% (Draft) – £1.95 1/3 pint
Beerblefish Tap Room (4 / 282)
Taproom within the brewery. They are real champions of cask ale and you will find 4 gravity dispensed cask ales here alongside the 4 taps and double fridge. Spacious inside with plenty of seating. Another tap room offering the Yard Sale Pizza menu with delivery to site.
Beerblefish – Viking Ale – 5.0% (Cask) – £2.90 1/2 pint
Exale Taproom (5 / 283)
A very well done taproom space on the Blackhorse Beer Mile. They offer 12 taps of their own beers plus packaged. Seating is over two levels, both inside and out. Absolutely packed on my visit, they are doing something right. Also has an on-site kitchen which was offering barbeque on my visit.
Exale – Cherry Bomb Nitro Sour – 4.4% (Draft) – £3.70 1/2 pint
Pretty Decent Taproom (Blackhorse) (6 / 284)
Impressive new setup, and a much larger scale than their start in Wanstead. Usual bar within the brewery offering 20 taps, the majority their own but with some guests. Also has a double fridge. Plenty of seating in the brewery space plus in the yard outside. There is a pizza kitchen on-site.
Pretty Decent – Sparklehorse – 4.0% (Draft) – £2.75 1/2 pint
Signature Brew (Blackhorse) (7 / 285)
Large brewery space and taproom, one of the first on the Blackhorse Beer Mile. Atypical visit as there was a private event taking over the main space, but they have a bar area with a dozen taps and now have an additional bar outside with 10 taps, albeit nothing different. Lots of seating inside and out. Food available on-site.
Signature – Haze Machine – 5.2% (Draft) – £3.35 1/2 pint
Big Penny Social (8 / 286)
Huge space that offers 40 taps. There are 26 around the front of the bar offering Big Penny beers, but the staff couldn’t tell me where they are brewed, and 14 on the back wall offering guests. Seating isn’t an issue here. They have an on-site kitchen.
Anspach & Hobday – Ansbacher Festbier – 5.8% (Draft) – £3.40 1/2 pint
Hehehe, now wondering how many south London micropubs you could fit into Big Penny!!!
A lot! 😂
